This page is for psychotherapists to apply for an independent contractor role with The Battle Within. If approved, each independent contractor will agree to provide a limited number of services to veterans, first responders, and medical personnel. To be considered, you must be providing psychotherapy in accordance with state laws and the professional standards set forth in various professional bodies in this field, such as the American Counseling Association (ACA), American Association of Marriage and Family Therapists (AAMFT), National Association of Social Workers (NASW), or American Psychological Association (APA). 

The Battle Within secures funds from private donors to provide free therapy to veterans, first responders, and medical personnel who are in need of psychotherapy. Contracted therapists will receive $75 per hour to provide up to six (6) sessions to clients/patients/consumers of The Battle Within at no cost to the client. We realize that most of our contracted therapists’ fees are usually larger than $75 per hour, but we ask our contracted therapists to provide the remaining amount of their fee pro bono (for the public good) in this time of unprecedented crisis. Should clients wish to continue beyond six (6) sessions, additional sessions can be requested. Our ability to provide additional potential sessions is dependent on demand and funding. Should funding not be available, the therapist and his/her client will need to consider what it looks like to move forward, and what the fee shall be thereafter.
